Together, we put
Nova Scotia First.
Thank You.
Yesterday, I wrote Premier Tim Houston to thank him for his decision to pause the Commercial Wine Sector Program, and engage with Wines of Nova Scotia on an alternative approach that supports the continued growth of farm wineries.
My advocacy has been rooted in the belief of the importance of the 1,100 jobs and the $250 million of provincial economic impact, which is primarily felt here at home in Kings-Hants.
A sincere thank you to the thousands of you who signed the petition and helped advocate for our local wineries. Together, we put Nova Scotia First.

Dear Premier Houston,
I want to thank you for your public commitment to pause the Commercial Wine Sector Program, while you engage with Wine Growers of Nova Scotia and others, on a new policy that will support the continued growth of farm wineries.
As you know, the wine and grape industry matters deeply to my communities in Kings-Hants, and indeed across rural Nova Scotia. My advocacy was rooted in protecting the jobs and provincial economic impact that I see every day. I sincerely appreciate your decision to reconsider the best policy choice to achieve our mutual objectives of economic growth. It's the right choice and I commend you for it.
Yours Truly,
Kody Blois, M.P.
